Policy for the awarding of grants
Criteria for the awarding of grants by New Hutton parish council:
- The awarding of a grant will benefit the parish or is in the interests of all or some of the people in the parish.
- The level of benefit will be commensurate with the level of the grant given.
- A grant will not be awarded to benefit one person.
- A grant can be awarded to benefit an organisation, which although based outside the parish, could provide benefit to inhabitants of the parish.
- A grant will not be awarded to benefit an organisation that operates exclusively outside the parish.
- The maximum level of grant will be the maximum permitted nationally by section 137 funding regulations.
